A few notes I jotted down from said podcast:
- In the world today we are taught to only use our brains, and not follow our hearts. Leaving us with the inability to allow the Spirit to seep and implant itself into our lives and direct us.
- "All discipline must be rooted in desire & delight."
- After accepting and believe that Christ has washed sin out of our lives, we learn that God does not condemn US. He can't, because He cannot give me what He is not of. We are made in His image. Therefore He condemns the enemy, for they are of condemnation and guilt.
- When your foundation is built on your own works and performances, it crumbles when too much pressure is applied to it.
- John 7:24-27 is all about the outpouring of the Holy Spirit. "Rains, winds, and streams."
- It's Christ's job to give me truth and revelation. Not my own.
- The Spirit is downloading things in me that will surface when I need them - a renewed mind.
- "May rest be my rhythm of life."
- "Complete abandonment of self effort - and complete trust in Christ's identity of me."
- "Don't work myself up into emotions, but relax in trust."
ps: JUST realized why God is having every
little thing line up for me. He knows how
much of a words of affirmation person I am!
