Bachelorette meets dancing fingers meets destiny

My best friend had an analogy, that when spoken, perfectly nested in my brain. We were in line at Cedar point when she said, "I think the reason I love roller coasters is because they are like life, the ups and downs, but I feel completely safe. I am ready for every every hill. I am strapped in. I have no fear." The seatbelt was God. But for some reason on the real ride of life, it is a lot harder to live fearlessly. It is a lot harder to just trust that seatbelt is going to carry you through. It is a lot harder to take risks. It is a lot harder to put your heart on the line.

Recently I have been digging into the topic of destiny. How do we approach it. How to know when it is there in front of us, or if what we are seeing/hearing is really a lie. God doesn't call us to do something by laying out all of the blueprints in front of our face at the get-go. He doesn't say, "Hali, I want you to go to zimbabwe and when you get there this is what you are doing and this is how you are to prepare and here's the next five years of your life, fear not." Hell no. Wouldn't that be nice though! God wants us to seek Him, but also step out. No one ever made a difference running with the pack. Be bold. Be forward. I don't believe God always gives clear "yes" and "no" answers. I am one of those people who prays about things, and if I have a peace, or if I am not getting a no, I am going to step out and take it. I want to live life to the fullest. I want to experience while being wise. Now don't get me wrong I am guarded. I have also been told I am quite conservative. But what it boils down to is God gave us so much to experience, and so much to see, and if we are doing things for His glory. Keeping Him focused, then I want to experience and see those things.

Maybe I am not making sense. I'm probably not. I am great at letting my fingers do a whole hour long dance performance on the keys of my computer, eventually having them take a bow, and then realizing that all the moves they did weren't received well due to confusing movements. (sighs)

In other news: Tennessee has reached flippin sickening levels of heat. I really want to go to Colorado. And I could use a glass of wine before work. And The Bachelorette is one of the strangest things I have ever seen.
