seating charts and boys

To has started off with memories of my childhood. And oh how beautiful those memories are. First off, my best friend called me on her way to work, after going to our friends' wedding. But here is the kicker - the groom, Brian, was her first major crush back in the day. When she had her heart set on him, I had my heart set on Paul. Paul and Brian were really close friends, Leah and I were best friends - it was 14 yr old perfection. I remember a group of us would go to the movies, and we would actually draw out a seating chart, and figure out the most discrete way to place ourselves haha. One night the boys and and girls were all spending the night at Brian's house. The girls slept upstairs with Chris (Brian's sister), and the guys slept in the basement. The girls found an air vent that led to the basement, and we tried to listen to the boys, hoping they were talking about us (smiles). Leah, Brian, Paul, and I would have days where we would just walk around our little neighborhood, grabbing some slurpees at 7-11, going to the park (so romantic), and coming back to my house to watch a movie, where we giddily wondered if they were going to hold our hands (beams). AHA the innocence was so precious. After talking to Leah this morning, I can see that in some ways we are still the same as our childhood selves. We get giddy at the prospect of someone holding our hand, and the smallest details of life still excite us (smiles) I am so blessed to have had her in my life for ten years now. She has shared some of the best memories of my life with me!
