Today was spectacular - superb - smarvelous! Nothing starts off a super day like sleeping in (beams). All alarms being shunned. All thoughts and worries put on hold. And all the dreams one can contain open for business in an open mind. I did have a strange, intense, captivating, and emotionally unstable dream about moving to Colorado with my mother. As bizarre as that sounds, it was actually rather eye opening. I fully believe that God uses dreams to speak to us. He takes the time of day when our mind is not going stir crazy, and uses it to instill in us a sense of direction. It is our job to depict and study what He is trying to tell us. My dream showed me the love and care of the friends I have, the bond between my mother and I, and the support and love I hope to someday have from a spouse.
After meandering into the world of consciousness, I caught up with my roommate. We had heart to heart time, finished with the watching of a sermon online and a joyful uniting with my henna that arrived in the mail! Praise God I put down the ink after going art crazy on both my left hand and foot. This may become a dangerous addiction. If you see me with an owl on my face, don't be surprised...
Next came taming the beast of hair upon my head. It is becoming quite the bushy pile of dead ends. I am hoping to have a little chip chop trip to the hair shop this week to fix the problem.
Onto picking up my pay check, rushing to the bank to make it on time before they closed, Platos closet (where the shirt I wanted ended up being half off!), and Target (where I bought a dress I did not need). REWIND - platos closet.... can I just say there is nothing more awkward than hearing a man describing what he likes about the low cut, super short clothes his girlfriend (who was at least 20 yrs younger than him) was trying on in the room next to you.
I met up with Cristina thereafter and we car danced our way to downtown Franklin for the celebration of the theatre re-opening. We maaaay have been recorded by the news as we were swing dancing in the street. I may have run into my Men In Black starbucks friend. And I may have gotten an epic picture with the Ghost Busters, and my exploding phone. PLUS the freakin Cherry Poppin Daddies were performing! (sighs)
The evening ended with a drive back to Kristin's house, with hers truly. We finally got to catch up on each others lives and encourage one another in our similar states of "what on earth do we do now". Friends met up with us shortly after our arrival at the abode, and we all dived into a wonderful pool and laughed the evening away (smiles).
I have seriously been blessed with amazing friends, amazing roommates, and an amazing city to live in.... even though I don't want to stay here forever!
PHILIPPIANS 3:13-15
.... But one thing I do: forgetting what lies behind and straining forward to what lies ahead, I press on toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus. Let those of us who are mature think this way, and if in anything you think otherwise, God will reveal that also to you.
